About Founder And Ceo Rick Pendrick
Rick Pendrick is the Founder and CEO of Prism, a Los Angeles-based public relations agency, which he launched after nearly two decades at the NBA, NASCAR, Rubenstein Associates and consulting for more than 20 startups.
Pendrick has experience with many of the largest initiatives in sports including NBA All-Star, NBA Global Games, Basketball without Borders, Daytona 500 and NASCAR’s Championship Weekend.
During these events, he worked with dozens of Fortune 500 companies on joint communication’s campaigns and worked closely with some of the world’s most notable athletes, celebrities, and c-suite executives.
For nearly a decade, Pendrick played an integral role in NBA global expansion, helping the league reach fans in 215 countries in 47 languages through traditional, digital and social media campaigns. During his tenure, these campaigns contributed to double-digital annual revenue growth for the NBA outside the U.S.
At NASCAR, Pendrick expanded the league’s national footprint by securing record numbers of first-time national media to attend and cover races. He supported entertainment marketing initiatives including more than 200 celebrity appearances at-track and NASCAR-themed movies such as Logan Lucky and Cars 3. As a member of the NASCAR Foundation Advisory council, he helped expand the CSR program nationally for the first time and worked with NASCAR’s Chairman and CEO on his family’s personal Luke and Meadow Foundation.
As a consultant, he has helped more than 20 startups define, launch and grow their brands through comprehensive PR campaigns. In many cases, these campaigns contributed to increases in revenue, corporate awards, raising company and executive profiles and buyout offers.
Pendrick has a BA from University of Florida in Business Administration with a specialization in Mass Communications and currently resides in Los Angeles.
